This time of year there are radio stations playing Christmas music all day long. There are limited Chanukah songs out there, although thanks to Adam Sandler, there are a few more.
Chanukah Fever: 13 Macca-beats for the Whole Family is great to listen to while wrapping all your holiday gifts or peeling potatoes for latkes. Jewperstar Mama Doni and her band blend reggae, rock, disco, Latin, klezmer and “Jew-grass”, with each of the entertaining and educational songs making you want to tap your toes or play air guitar.
Chanukah Fever will make you feel good for eight nights. I say Chanukah (You Say Hanukah) tackles the pronunciation of Chanukah while The Legend of Sour Cream vs. Applesauce will have you rooting for your favorite latke topping. Latke Man lyrics include the catchy ‘Crispy crunchy cool and munchy. Good for breakfast or for lunchy’.
Chanukah Fever: 13 Macca-beats for the Whole Family by The Mama Doni Band is definitely not your Bubbie’s holiday music. The CD is highly recommended if you are looking for a great way to start a new Chanukah family tradition in your house.
Mama Doni’s recordings are available nationwide, as CDs and digital downloads, from Barnes and Noble, Amazon, FYE.com, iTunes, and select Costco locations. For more information about The Mama Doni Band, visit www.mamadoni.com.

Nice to know Adam Sandler isn’t the only game in Dreideltown…
